Stamas invites residents to visit Senate website, sign up for e-newsletter

Residents also encouraged to ‘Like’ Stamas’ official Facebook page

Stamas200x300LANSING—Sen. Jim Stamas is inviting constituents to visit his new official Senate website, where residents can sign up for a free e-newsletter and find the senator’s official Facebook page.

“In an effort to provide the best service possible for the hardworking people of the 36th District, we have launched a new Senate website,” said Stamas, R-Midland. “The site will serve as my online office, and I hope that residents will find it useful in helping keep them up-to-date on state issues and pending legislation.”

Residents interested in hearing directly from Stamas may click on the “Stamas Serves” Newsletter tab. From there visitors can click on previous newsletters and sign up to have the e-newsletter emailed to them going forward.

On the website, visitors can also click on the Facebook logo to find the senator’s official Facebook page. The page is

“I encourage constituents to sign up for my e-newsletter and to like me on Facebook,” Stamas said. “The newsletter and the Facebook page are convenient ways to stay informed on what is happening in your Legislature and what I am doing as your senator.”

Stamas represents the 36th Senate District, which includes Alcona, Alpena, Arenac, Gladwin, Iosco, Midland, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego and Presque Isle counties.
